The Brit Awards 2011:

Whilst Los Angles had there star studded Grammys event, us Brits over the water were not left out as this years Brit Awards brought-out out all the latest musical show-stoppers in celeb land.


UK Rapper Tinie Tempah unexpectedly picked up two awards that night with British Breaktrhough Artist and Best Single. Last year this time he was no existent to the top charts, but with his number hit "Pass Out" he's taken the music scene by storm, alongside collaborating with big names Kelly Rowland and Labyrnith! He came suited and booted to the affair rocking geek-chic swag with a white blazer and black framed specs!

Latest urban sensation Plan B managed to snag the award for Best British Male! Benjamin Paul Ballance-Drew called Ed by his mum beat Robert Plant, Tinie Tempah, Paul Weller and Mark Ronson to the award. A great feat in the early stages of his music career wouldn't you say! The Brit winner was booed by music fans after he set fire to a police officer in a stunt during his performance of 'She said and Prayin'. Fans jeered as the fake copper was extinguished, and break-dancers and riot police danced around the stage. Talk about drama!

Boy group legends 'Take That' won Best British Group, 21yrs after their debut to their loyal fans. The boys opened the Brits at the London O2 with a highly energized riot themed performance. However after the curtain call Twitter buzzed with controversy over the mimed travesty that occurred on stage! What ya think guys!

Our main 'heartbreaker' Justin Bieber, who also took home a Brit award for stole a kiss from northern lass Cheryl Cole! The Canadian cutie is so ballsy for guy who's not even reached his prime...so he's sure to be melting hearts for many years to come!


Cheryl Cole did look ultra lush, in the slinky little black number with a thigh split and smokey eye and sultry up-do! Gorgeous girl!

Essex girl Jessie J beat of competition James Blakes and The Vaccines, to snatch The Critic's Choice award, and was tipped the mainstreams music next big thing! The edgy pop singer's single 'Do it like a dude' has hit the charts at full force, and has spiraled internationally. Though the Brit winner was a hit on the charts, her outift to the event was clearly a miss! Sad times!



Rihanna once again rocked the stage this month, with her latest hot single! But the Baijan beauty still caught our attention of the red carpet with her vividly colored haute couture gown! Hit or Miss!

The Grammys Hot Performance

celDrake and Rhianna hit the Grammy stage with a sexy collabo to hit single "What's My Name". With fire, some island dance moves and Rhianna prancing about in a racy lil skin bearing costume

For all the bright eyed tween girls/ and some of the rest of us the highlight of the night, was the dynamic double act Justin Beiber and Jaden Smith. The teenage heartthrobs pranced around the stage, like they owned it, a sure sign their Hollywood mentors have done a great job! For the more mature fans Usher wowed the audience with his latest sing "OMG".... we definitely no wear lil Biebs gets all his talent and soon-to-be sex appeal! The soul singing diva's united for an Aretha Franklin tribute, with enough room on the stage for all their fabulousness the diva's belted out past great hits of legendary Aretha Franklin's hits throughout the years! Christina Aguilera, Yolanda Adams, Jennifer Hudson, Florence Welch and Martina McBride sang renditions of "Natural Women", "What I'm gonna do", "Freedom" and all time favourite "R.E.S.P.E.C.T" including others! Lady Gaga  hit the stage with an upbeat, all out performance of there new single "Born this way". Without any blood, but an egg embryo instead Gaga hit the Grammy stage.With peculiar yet eye catching costumes and a entourage of back up dancers, Lady Gaga performed to her usual great level, and definitely put on a show! The only to judge is to have a look yourself!

With success on Glee Gwyneth Paltrow took to the stage, with musical genius Cee-lo to perform the up-beat and every so catchy new theme tune for many "Forget You". Dressed in an outrageous bird like costume, a piano and sidekick hand puppet Cee-Lo killed it, and was accompanied by all up for it, Gwyneth who delivered in the comedic yet entertaining spitz! Some of the music industries hottest talent right now Bruno Mars, B.O.B and Janelle Monae, filled out the Staples Centre in Los Angeles with their beautiful performance backed by a classical band to "Nothing on You/Grenade". fasThe Grammys are over and everyone's received an award, without the embarrassment of a stage crasher (Kanye), but now it's time to hand out the fashion honours. This years red carpet held host to some of the music industries hottest diva's, and they came out in full force!

Dazzling Diva's: This years fab trend the stars brought along some of that razzale dazzale; with an array of sequin dresses worn by Jennifer Lopez, Heidi Klum, Kim Kardashian Leanne Rimes and many more ...there was glitz and glam everywhere! They were definitely amongst the best dressed!

The Best Dressed: The Grammys was packed so many gorgeous starlets gracing the red carpet in fashions from head to toe, but only a few stood out for the right reasons!  Eva Longoria, Jennifer Hudson, Slena Gomez,

The Most Effort:  Every event has its rags to riches sob story. This year pint-sized guidette Snooki from MTV series The Jersey Shore, mixed chic and Jersey in a sparkly little number

The Repeat: If any one was an  attention whore it would be Rihanna. Though we love this Bajan beauty and her sexy but edgy fashion sense, this year her floor length peek-a-boo dress was a tad bit to much, and repeated! I guess skin's her thing!

The Worst Dressed: Every year someone's outfit causes offence, shows way to much skin, or fails to be as cutesy or retro chic as the stylist intended. Unfortunately this year the culprits of fashion crime were... Miley Cyrus, Florence Welch, Justin Beiber, Ciara

The Weirdest Wardrobe: Every year someone leaves you wondering, is this person real, have they taken their med's or what the hell were they thinking. This years no different as show-stoppers Niki Minaj, Lady Gaga and Cee-lo fell short on the list of taste, but more then sufficed in entertainment!
