Michelle Obama graced dinner with the Chinese presidents with an elegant red Alexander McQueen gown.
The political affair quickly transformed into a fashion crisis when renowned designer Oscar de la Renta criticised the First Lady for wearing creations of European dressmakers instead of American ones. In order to help promote Chinese-American trade
relations and thus support American products not European ones!
Washington's First Lady coolly brushed off the comments of the fashion icon on Good Morning America stating 'women, wear what they love'!
